I received the following information that came from one of our ladies, one who some of the ladies of the Baptist Missionary Association of Oklahoma Women's Auxiliary have been helping to carry out benevolence with the homeless in our community. It was a cold, wet and dreary day when she had this encounter – This is an excerpt from her story.

“... about 2 pairs of shoes someone donated. As I was leaving Triad Village Street, an older lady was walking in no shoes and wet socks. I stopped and asked her if she had shoes. Her daughter had taken everything. I gave her the shoes and the last ones I had were in her size, 2 jackets, soap and lotion. You made a real difference to a tiny, older lady, deserted by her family. I also gave her a “Daily Bread” , devotional book, …..”
Thank you ladies! You are making a difference.

Our evangelism work and training is continuing. Three of us are still participating in the training of folks at WABC in Oklahoma City. We are also beginning a new semester of Every Day Evangelism which is scheduled to start 2/4. If you are interested in being trained in personal evangelism please let me know. We will see what we can work out to help you. I think that it is imperative that all Christians share their faith with others and if you are not now doing this, we would like to help you.

Chris is continuing to teach “Guitar with a Purpose” and his classes are growing. He also has been teaching our adult Sunday School class and doing some preaching. Pray for Chris that he might be able to get more hours in his job and financial stability in his life.

We had one baptism for the month, an older man named Joe. I just had to laugh to myself as I wrote this; he is actually younger than I am. Joe has quite the life story but I don't believe that he would want me to share it at this time. Joe received Christ as his savior in his home as Chris and I had a divine appointment to share the gospel with him.

You may know that our financial support from the BMA of Oklahoma has been dropped, but we still need support. We would be grateful for any support that you may be able to provide, not only financially but in prayer. Please pray that the Lord may send forth more workers into the harvest to help us here.
